I purchased Sphinx 216 for church to use when they fill the baptismal to help make sure they don't overflow. They forgot to use it and left it in a bag in the cabinet underneath the baptismal. The alarm went off because of a leak in the pipe used for filling.

Accessories

All of the following accessories may be used simultaneously with the Pyramid 215 or 216 . Up to 300' of any combination of pyramid and accessories may be connected together with 6 conductor cable and connectors. No special tools are needed for installation. Easy to use telephone type jacks and plugs are used. Accessories do not operate with the telephone.

The Cable plugs into the pyramid shaped base unit, is 6' long and contains three additional sets of water sensors. Connectors may be used to extend the range.

Typical Uses

Place where floor is uneven.
Place in areas which are difficult to access, like behind washing machines and dishwashers.
Place in areas where additional coverage is desired, like around the water heater.
Place in areas where wide coverage is needed, like in ceilings, raised floors, basements or storage areas.

The Cable plugs into the pyramid shaped base unit, is 6' long and contains one additional set of water sensors. Connectors may be used to extend the range.

Typical Use

Place on the discharge pipe of a sump or bilge pump. The location should be slightly above [1" - 2"] the normal point where water will turn On the sump pump. Then if rising water does not start the sump pump, it will activate the Sphinx high water alarm.

Connect to Existing Wired Security System

This Adapter is 10' long and connects to an existing wired security system. It transfers the benefits of your existing system to the Sphinx system. One of the most important benefits is that your existing alarm system is also used to tell you that you have a water leak. Connectors may be used to extend the range.

Separate Security System Circuit

A separate Normally Open [NO] circuit allows the alarm company to determine that unwanted water is the cause of the alarm. This circuit should originate in the Master Control Panel.

NOTE: The Sphinx yellow and black wires may be extended with our Extension Cable 821 or any 28 guage or larger common telephone wire. The Alarm will not operate if the yellow conductor is attached to the negative [ - ] portion of the circuit. The Alarm will not be damaged if it is installed incorrectly.
